Author and speaker Joy Fopma, is a passion-filled visionary who encourages others to receive their God-given identity. She co-founded Wings of Refuge, a ministry for women recovering from sex trafficking. Joy was named the Outstanding Woman in Corrections by the Iowa Corrections Association and received the Anti-Trafficking Service Award from Governor Kim Reynolds.

She adores Jesus, her family, meaningful relationships, coffee, traveling and interior design. Joy and her husband Aaron reside on Little Wall Lake in Jewell, Iowa
